The Book of Genesis
The Book of Genesis begins with the beginning of creation as we know it. The six days that God labored to create this awesome creation and the seventh day of rest.
In chapter two we learn of God's creation of man and the first two humans to walk the earth, Adam and Eve.
Here in chapter three, we learn of the fall of man and get a glimpse of God's plan for the future restoration of man.

The Book of Matthew
One of the four Gospels dedicated to telling his story of Jesus. Matthew, one of
Jesus' twelve disciples, wrote this Gospel to his fellow Jews to prove to them that Jesus was truly the Messiah. Chapter one, speaks of the genealogy and the events that led up to Jesus' birth.
Chapter two speaks of the Magi that came from the east to visit the baby Jesus, and Mary and Joseph's escape to Egypt to protect their child's life. The chapter ends with the prophesied return to Nazareth.
In chapter 3, we have the account of John the Baptist and how he was to lead the way for Jesus' entry as the Messiah. John is clear as to his part in the process and how Jesus was the Messiah to come.
In chapter 4, Cain murders his brother Abel and receives the curse of God. We receive the lineage of Cain's family, as well as a new son for Adam and Eve.
